Kind of speaks for itself. This is less about the image and more about the work that went into preparing this detailed light show. Look at the depth in this picture… how many animals of all sizes from front to back, scattered amongst grass and trees. And the color combinations! How many animals do you see? And which ones? Shout out to the engineers who put this together.

Back to summer 2019 when walking a car show was reality in our lives! What does this interior remind you of? For me it feels like a classic dinner with the red bar stools and a jukebox playing a track for everyone to hear. This 1949 Chevy Club Coupe is so well customized and maintained… stare closely to find the compass, skeleton figurine hanging by its hat, the Ace of Spades, singers microphone, and if your really good, the skull and cross bones for the locking door button (bottom left of photo, slightly blurred). According to Wikipedia these were assembled here in Oshawa, came with a 3 speed manual, and delivered 90 horsepower (really?)
Do you know this car? Let me share a little… Car enthusiasts love the Porsche 911 from 1989 through 1994. Buy one of these pre-owned for between $65K and $170K Canadian and then give it to Singer Vehicle Design in California who will custom restore – or reimagine as they say – as a one off for an additional sweet $475K up to $1.8M US. This here is ‘Malaysia’ (cars get named after global cities or countries) and I found her at the Toronto car show courtesy of Pfaff Automotive Partners (a Toronto auto dealer group). Now I knew of Singer before hand and in my dreams have commissioned a car from them… but in real life not so lucky! Next best is to be able to photograph one. Fantastic performance by Johnny Reid this past week in St. Catharines, singing only Christmas songs from his ‘My Kind of Christmas’ tour. This was my first introduction to Johnny Reid and will say he did not disappoint. More than any singer I’ve seen – ok similar to Sarah McLachlan – he has a way of involving the audience that makes you feel part of the show. Guess it helps there were a cozy 3,500 people in the arena 🙂
This goes in the books of ‘I can’t do that, and not sure I want to do that, however very cool to watch you do that!’. Skills and attention seeking were on full display near the London Eye – Waterloo train station area on a recent trip to London, England. The 7 guys in the background staring surely add to the moment’s intrigue.
