Toronto’s CN Tower framed by apartments

Iconic for Canadians and many people globally, I really like how a community has grown right around Toronto’s CN Tower. Without counting I’d guess 50 to 60 apartment buildings in the area. These two are the closest, framing the tower so perfectly on this cold December evening. The picture is taken from Canoe Field on the West side, a turf soccer pitch easily identifiable by a larger than life red canoe next to it.

This is one fantastic sunset view of Toronto from CN Tower looking north. We have the Fairmont Royal York hotel bottom right, Roy Thomson Hall, all the bank buildings, Toronto City Hall, and every other building along Yonge street until the horizon ends.

For those of us who love Toronto, here is a different view of our skyline, looking West from Spadina to Humber at sunset, including Exhibition and Liberty Village. The usual North view is all office skyscrapers, while this West angle is condos, and to my surprise, abundance of green space.

Looking up at Toronto’s CN Tower from the platforms within Union Station, we get a glimpse of the old and new. This area of Union is being rebuilt, leaving the metal exposed and an open roof. Fun how they light the tower at night, creating a glow in the sky.

Had the opportunity two weeks ago to view Toronto’s distinct skyline from the rooftop of the Park Hyatt hotel. There is an outdoor lounge perfectly situated looking south along Avenue Road that allows for this panoramic view of the city.
