Thanks for wanting to know more... I believe in ownership, drive, and mutual support. I like people who are humble, hungry, and smart. Teams perform better than individual supper stars. You have the capability to do the impossible. Photographs tell a story. People love stories.

Change In Colors, Thanksgiving weekend, Echo Lake

fall colors birch trees echo lake muskoka
Birch trees mixed in with the requisite vibrant fall colors on echo lake this past Thanksgiving weekend. Though never taking the change in colors for granted, it still is fun to see tourists arrive by motorcoach to look at what we Canadians see every year!

1942 Ford One Ton Pick Up Truck and Flower Bed

1942 ford one ton pick up truck
This 1942 Ford one ton was a lawn ornament and flower bed at Blue Mountain. Something about this old rusty beater contrasted with vibrant fresh flowers makes you pause for a moment.

Sweeping sunset across Conger Lake while kayak camping early September in the Massasauga Provincial Park with one of our daughters. Two excellent days with sun, mid-teen temperatures, card games, good food, campfire, and these fantastic skies after the sun went down.

Broad-winged Hawk

Three Broad-winged Hawks spent a couple of weeks in August on the cottage property before flying off. They would perch atop the Birch trees along the shore, or behind the cottage at top off forest canopy like this one in the photo.

Female Robin with two screaming chicks nesting

female american robin chicks chirping nesting
This female American Robin chose the fireplace vent out back of the house as perfect location for this year’s nest. She has two chicks, who on this late evening, were trying to be as vocal as their mom!

Kilauea’s Burning Crater at Night

This is Kilauea’s burning crater from January 2017. It was a beautiful night with some activity in the crater as seen by the light flash in the image… this is lava bubbling up. One year later and Kilauea is erupting again with new lava flows.

The Snow Ghosts of Big White

big white ski resort snow ghosts powder skiing
This is the peak of Big White looking West to the Monashee mountains across what they call the ‘Enchanted Forest’. The previous day it snowed like crazy, and this next day it was powder top to bottom. The trees when covered with snow are locally known as ‘snow ghosts’ – great name!

Hanalei Pier Beach Jam!

hanalei beach party pier kauai hawaii
This was over the top for a northern canuck not used to life at the beach. Cars, people, surfboards, bikes everywhere. And while this picture has everything frozen in time, you need to imagine it all moving in slow motion. Hanalei Beach and Pier are almost at the end of the road in Northern Kauai, and a favorite stop for tourists (like us!). Beautiful beach worth the visit, particularly if you love people watching 🙂
